Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for today, Friday, December 6th. Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. The status of any scheduled trips today will be determined in consult with each impacted school.
Extra-curricular activities for tonight will be permitted. However, local schools and coaches will have discretion as to whether or not to carry out practice or events at local schools. The scheduled PHS girls' basketball and boys' freshman basketball games have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Students do not report; however, maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, while all other staff report on a 2-hour delay. Day-to-day substitute personnel should not to report unless they are specifically directed to do so. All schools will be open from 10 to 12 for students who require assistance. Each month, December through March, we will be posting a monthly wellness challenge for students, along with a QR code and link to verify your participation. All students who participate will be placed into a drawing to win prizes in January, February, March and April. Prizes will be related to physical fun and announced later. Although not in school today due to the inclement weather, Preston County Schools, our staff and students, are always thankful for the amazing substitute teachers that have and continue to dedicate themselves to our students' educations. Thanks for being such a valued part of our team.
