Menu Change:
Due to the anticipated weather forecast, the Thanksgiving School Meal originally on the menu for this Thursday the 21st, will now be served on Wednesday the 20th just in case there's any kind of schedule change. We want to ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving Meal prior to break.

Good afternoon. East Preston will continue with parent teacher conferences from 3-6 pm today, but please be advised we do not have internet access and it's been down all day so we will be limited in info we can share this evening. We encourage you to still attend and meet with your students teachers(s) and they can send home additional information later if the internet remains down this evening. Thank you for your patience.
Additionally, Ms Kelly Hough is out sick this afternoon and will work with parents to schedule conferences at another time.

Additionally, several community organizations will be on hand to provide families with information and PTO is supplying dinner to families. We look forward to seeing you!

Menu Change for Tuesday, 11-19. Due to an unavailability issue from distribution, the 19th will no longer be a BBQ Rib sandwich, but will be replaced with a bbq pulled pork sandwich. All other accompaniments are the same.

Good evening Terra Alta East Preston Middle School families. We continue to see behavioral issues within the middle school regarding disrespect, interruptions to instruction, off task behaviors, and refusal to work (defiance). We are diligently working through these issues through conferences with parents, consequences for actions, and following all processes and policies set forth by the WV Board of Education and the Preston County Board of Education. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well being of our students we are thus postponing this Friday's middle school dance. Please reinforce with your student the importance of education and the severity of consequences for disrespectful and disruptive behaviors. Unfortunately, this is not all of our students. Some students are making good choices and suffering as a result of the poor choices of many others. We will work together to resolve these issues and have a better school as a result. We appreciate your patience and support.

The middle school dance for Friday 11/15/24 is postponed.

On Monday, November 4, TAEP hosted the NED Show - the Mindset Mission Assembly.
NED and our students took a journey to find their positive mindset. The show was filled
with storytelling, humor, illusions and amazing yo-yo tricks where our kids learned the
hidden message in NED's name:
Never give up — understand The Power of YET
Encourage others — spark courage in other people
Do your best® — always be learning and growing
Do you want to learn to yo? A yo-yo is both a mindset tool and a tangible reminder of
NED's message. While learning to yo, children will make mistakes, try again and improve. The NED Show is offering yo-yo's for sale at TAEP. Prices are included on the attached flier: Classic Yos $10; Super Spinners $14; Speciality Selection $18. Yos are on sale at TAEP through November 13th from 7 - 8 am.

Last chance to register your veteran to attend our Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 8th. Veterans are invited to a luncheon at 12:15 pm. We will hold our assembly at 1 pm. Use this URL to register a veteran to attend: https://forms.office.com/r/sJrTb5GYYW.
