Good evening Eagles. Reminder that parent teacher conferences are tomorrow, Monday, March 3rd from 3 - 5 pm. We look forward to seeing you there. Also this week, Terra Alta East Preston softball tryouts start, March 3 through March 7th, 6:30 pm to 8 pm in the gym. Any girls grade 6, 7, and 8 that are interested can come out and join us! Remember homeschooled girls can play. And any girl from Rowlesburg and Aurora are welcome to play. There will be a band boosters meeting on Thursday, March 6th at 6 pm. Have a great week!
Good evening. Youth league baseball and softball sign-ups must be completed by March 1st (Saturday). Middle school students playing on the school teams can also play youth league as the seasons will not overlap. All sign-ups are done online. Attention 8th grade students!
Good evening Eagles. A few announcements: mid-term reports for elementary students came home today. Students who wish to attend activities at the Terra Alta Youth Center after school must complete and return the permission slip prior to being permitted to attend. Students are picked up (walking) by a youth center staff member, walked to the youth center and walked back to the school. Students may ride the activities bus, but parents may be required to meet the bus at a certain location. Activities buses do not run full routes. Don't forget Monday, March 3rd we will hold parent teacher conferences from 3 - 5 pm and Thursday, March 6th there will be a band boosters meeting at 6 pm. Thank you. Have a good evening.

Students in grades 5 - 8 who would like to participate in track may sign up on the sign up sheet outside the office. There will be a parent/student and coach meeting for track on Wednesday at 6 pm in the cafeteria. Students in grades 6 - 8 interested in playing baseball will practice and try out Monday through Thursday this week from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. First official team practice will be Friday at the same time. Tryouts and practices will be held in the gym. Students participating in the scholar summit (7th and 8th grade students) will have practices every Tuesday and Thursday after school with coaches Carrie See and Kayla Dodge. And finally, Karen and Tori Hershman will the the softball coaches this year and will hold an practices starting Monday, March 3rd. Practice/tryouts will be Monday - Friday that week from 6:30 - 8 pm in the gym. Students in grades 6 - 8 interested in participating must have a current physical and attend practice/tryouts. Tori Hershman will be at school this Thursday during middle school lunch for girls who are interested in signing up for softball. Again softball practice/tryouts begins Monday, March 3rd. Good evening Eagles. Tomorrow, Monday, February 24th, students will bring home mid-term reports for term 3. Our spring parent teacher conferences will be held Monday, March 3rd from 3 - 5 pm. This week middle school baseball tryouts will take place in the gym from 5-6:30 pm, Monday - Thursday, and those who make the team will begin practice at the same time on Friday. All 8th grade students need to turn in their high school schedule requests. And just a month away we will host our middle school decades dance on Friday, March 28th - more information coming soon. For elementary our Shamrock Shake is quickly approaching. We will have more information posted soon. Also, we have hired a softball coach and will distribute information this week. And finally, 7th and 8th scholar summit team members will practice after school on Tuesday and Thursday this week. There's a lot happening at TAEP. With yesterday's and today's snow days, the tentative last day for students is now Thursday, June 5th, with the 4th and 5th serving as make-up days. June 6th and 9th will be the final teacher work days.
Preston County Schools are now closed for today, Friday, February 21st. Extended-day staff who have not already reported will report on a 2-hour delay and all other students and staff do not report. The scheduled data meetings for today will be rescheduled.
