Good evening! Just a reminder that KES students in grades K-4 will be attending the WVU Women's Basketball Game at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown TOMORROW, Thursday, November 17th!
IF there is a 2 Hour Delay for Preston County Schools, we will NOT be making the trip.
Students are welcome to bring signs they have made at home or in class, foam hands, pom-poms, etc. to show spirit and cheer on the Mountaineers!! Wear any WVU hats/accessories you might have! We will NOT be visiting the concession stands, so please leave money at home.

Game/Field Trip is THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH!!

Families: Just a reminder that students in grades K-4 will be traveling to the WVU Coliseum THIS Thursday, November 14th, to watch a WVU Women's Basketball Game!
If you are packing a lunch for your child, please send it in a clear Ziploc bag as these will be checked upon entrance into the stadium.
In addition, chaperones for the field trip have already been contacted by teachers. If you have not been contacted by your child's teacher to attend this field trip, even if you are on the approved list, then you will have the opportunity to attend a trip with your child LATER this school year. Finally, parents are not permitted to follow the busses to WVU as KES has only purchased a select amount of tickets and seating in our designated area is limited. Thank you for understanding!

The snow is falling and the Holiday Season is calling! As your Holiday preparations get underway, keep your kiddos from jumping on your furniture during Thanksgiving Break--Get them to the trampoline park instead!
This is just a reminder that order forms and money for our KES/Launch Pad FUNdraiser are due TOMORROW, November 14th! We plan to distribute passes before departing for Thanksgiving on Friday!

Kingwood Elementary is excited to honor all of the veterans in our community this November! We have special events planned for this Thursday, November 10th! Lunch With a Vet begins at 12:20PM in the cafeteria followed by a special program performed by the KES Student Council at 1:00PM in the gym.
Those participating in Lunch With a Vet have been notified by letter. Due to space limitation and food preparation, we cannot accommodate any new lunch reservations. However, we invite ALL WHO HAVE SERVED to join us in the gym at 1:00PM for a special assembly.

Trip Rescheduled:
Due to a rainy forecast, the KES 1st Grade Field Trip to the WV Botanical Garden has been POSTPONED to Thursday, November 3rd.

Bus #71 will take students in the Kingwood area to Littles Day Care this afternoon, Thursday, October 27th. They will be picked up at KES at 2:10PM to be transported to the day care center.
