Just a reminder that for tomorrow's costume day, all costumes must be school-appropriate. Kids cannot have masks covering their faces and costumes cannot have props that could be considered weapons or dangerous.

This week the Mobile Agriculture Lab is on-site for our kids to try out experiments and do activities related to the importance of farming, agriculture, and life sciences. Here are some pictures of Miss Neff's kids doing some ag-tivities.
Thanks to our Academic Boosters and the WV Farm Bureau for making this possible.

A few announcements for this week:
This week is Spooky Spirit Week. You can find the theme day schedule on our school Facebook.
The book fair will be held this week in the library. Parents can use the e-wallet feature to handle any purchases for their child so you don't have to send money. Here is the link: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/content/fairs/how-ewallet-works.html?fairId=5428597
Thanks to the work of our Academic Boosters, the Mobile Agriculture Lab will again be visiting our school this week. Classes will be visiting the lab for experiments and activities. Just FYI: having the lab will reduce the amount of parking in the main office parking lot.
Report cards will be distributed on Tuesday and Parent-Teacher Conferences and Parent Resource Fair are set for November 7th from 4-6pm.

Make sure to save the date for our annual Veterans Day Program. It's Thursday, November 9th at 9am in the gym. Our Veterans Breakfast will be at 8am in the cafeteria.

Mrs. Hagedorn and Mrs. Nieman's first grade classroom was featured in a story on West Virginia Public Broadcasting about our reading education efforts.

Hope to see you tomorrow night for Trunk or Treat and Haunted Hallway! It's from 5:00 - 7:00 here at the school.

Here are some pictures of kindergarten checking out the pumpkin patch last week! The kids got to go through a corn maze, play games, and do many other fall theme activities. While the kids ended up super muddy they had a blast!

Good evening. This is a reminder there is no school for students tomorrow, Friday, October 27th as it is a teacher training day. Thank you.

Saturday is Trunk or Treat and Haunted Hallway! There are just a few spots left for trunks if you or a group want to sponsor one. Contact Alicia Ford at alicia.ford@k12.wv.us

Some more pumpkin math! This time from Ms. Casto's class. The students explored the parts of a pumpkin, got to feel inside, and count all the seeds. Ms. Kim’s pumpkin won with the most seeds by having 755 seeds total!

Pumpkin Math and Science Exploration in Miss Neff’s kindergarten classroom! Students measured and weighed their pumpkins, gave them the sink or float test, and cut them open to count the seeds.
