We're excited to welcome our Veterans for our annual Veterans Day program tomorrow. The Veterans Breakfast is at 8:00 in the cafeteria and the program begins at 9:00 in the gym. Just a few reminders:
- Guests cannot arrive until after 7:45. This will allow the bus lot and parent drop-off to clear.
- Guests can enter the building at the main office, breezeway, or the entrance across from the corn field. Students will be there to assist guests.
- Please leave the bus lot open for parking for guests with wheelchairs and mobility issues. Parking is available in the main office lot, side lot, and along the back side of the gym and middle school area.
- There will be a sign-in table in the breezeway for veterans. If a veteran would like to eat breakfast with their child/grandchild, we will page them from their classroom at that time.

We want to give a shout-out to Owen Johnson! Yesterday afternoon, as our kids were waiting on a bus to be fixed, he took it upon himself to provide a read-aloud for some of the other kids waiting!

Tomorrow are Parent/Teacher Conferences and our Parent Resource Fair. They are from 4-6pm.

School picture re-takes are Monday, November 13th during the morning.

Our annual Family Fitness Night is Wednesday, November 15th from 5-7pm.

Middle school boys and girls basketball coaches want to remind students and parents again that tryouts are tonight and tomorrow. Girls tryouts are from 5-6:30 and boys tryouts are from 6:30-8.
The Preston Squires Middle School Wrestling Team will have its first practice on November 6, 2023, at Preston High School right after school. All Preston County Middle School Students Grades 6-8 are welcome to participate. Transportation has been coordinated from all Preston County Middle Schools to Preston High for student athletes who wish to participate. The bus schedule will be posted on the Squires Wrestling Facebook Page or contact your school administrator. Hello Preston County Families!
We have already made it through quarter 1! Your students (all grade levels) should receive their first report cards this week.
Students in grades K-4 are also receiving information about a survey for families. Your opinions are valuable to us! Please take a few minutes to provide feedback about K-4 report cards. Our annual Veterans Day program is set for Thursday, November 9th. The program begins at 9am in the gymnasium and the Veterans Breakfast is at 8am in the cafeteria. Due to space limitations, we can only accommodate veterans, our student body, and staff. RSVP forms went home with all students. If your child, grandchild, etc. didn't receive one, or if you don't have one in school, feel free to call the school at 304-379-2593 to RSVP.

Today, Ms. Holly’s PreK class celebrated Halloween with some math and science! They sorted, graphed, and constructed a skeleton with Cheetos bones. Then, they discovered the science behind magnets to make their ghosts fly. #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere
