Congratulations to 4th grade student, Alexis Maust, for her success in today’s state level competition for WV Math Field Day. In all of WV, only 24 fourth grade students earned the opportunity to compete at the state level for Math Field Day after going through multiple competition levels. Alexis represented region 7 and Preston County Schools with poise and integrity. The region 7 team received recognition in today’s ceremony at WV State University for scoring the highest out of all WV regions. Bravo Alexis!

Upcoming Important Dates relating to days off or early dismissals:

We hope to see everyone at STEM Night tonight from 5:00 - 7:00. There's hands-on activities and demonstrations. Plus, parents can enter their students to win door prizes. Make sure to enter the building through the breezeway by the gym and playground.

May Menus:
You will notice multiple cook's choice days, which will also be each day in June, so no menus will go out for June as all are cook's choice. Cook's choice are used to either be efficient with inventory to limit on waste, or to try new items, or bring back old favorites. You will also notice that there are two "pre-packaged" days. These shelf stable meals will be tested by students, with a survey for students to follow. In the future, these will be utilized for field trips, brain freeze days and emergencies when there may not be staffing. These meals DO meet USDA school lunch requirements. If utilized more in the coming years, on those days, schools will still also provide salad bars, or other supplemental items. As always, if any questions or concerns as it relates to school meals, please direct those to Justin Hough, Director of Child Nutrition and Wellness, at jhough@k12.wv.us.

At this time, internet and phone services are down at all district schools and central office. Frontier has advised that this is a wide-spread issue in WV and another state. We have not been provided with an eta on a restoration of service. We apologize for the inconvenience.
