Due to the abrupt change in schedule, but oh so thankful for our awesome cooks, there will be menu changes for this week due to our distribution and delivery schedules. Tomorrow, the 18th, will still be Pizza, and cooks will be providing the menus for principals to put out for 2 of the other days, with one other day this week being the scheduled boneless wings. Please see your school's individual Facebook pages or texts for more information. Tomorrow is Pizza though. Welcome back kiddos!!!

Preston County Schools had another great staff opening session on Wednesday the 13th. No matter the challenges and obstacles, our staff are prepared to welcome back our students and give them our best each and every day. We'd like to thank our sponsors, because without them, we wouldn't be able to put on such a successful event and training. A special thank you to Karen Cagle, our guest speaker from the Center for Model Schools, Instruction and Leadership. Karen has been, and always will be a big part of our PCS family, and it's through the work with her and her group that has continued to move PCS forward and do what we do for our kids day in and out. We may be biased, but we have the best and most dedicated staff, and we hope that you see in PCS what we strive for each and every day. Thanks again to our sponsors, our incredible staff, and let's get this thing started.
Thank you -

We're thrilled to welcome Bruceton alum Hailey Nestor as our school nurse this year! Hi, I’m Hailey Nestor! I’m a proud Bruceton alum, and it feels so special to be back where it all began. I graduated from West Virginia University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and I’m so excited to bring my energy, care, and Bulldog pride to our school! When I’m not here, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or off exploring somewhere new. I also share my home with three spoiled (and very handsome!) boy cats who keep life interesting.

With the cancellation of staggered start, the original 6th Grade Academy that was scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 19th is cancelled. We're going to do a full orientation for 6th graders Monday morning and a brief orientation for parents at tonight's Back to School Bash at 6pm in the cafeteria.

Preston County Schools is excited to welcome back students next week. However, we will not be able to use our planned staggered start based on advisement from the WV Department of Education. All grade 1-12 students will now be required to attend on Monday, August 18th. All Kindergarten and Pre-K students will now be required to attend on Wednesday, August 20th. There will be no scheduled school for students on Friday, August 22nd for professional development. We greatly apologize for the required change in schedule; however, all available efforts were made to maintain the staggered start schedule without success. Questions and concerns may be forwarded to Superintendent Brad Martin at (304) 329-0580 ext. 3225.

We're excited to welcome Jessica Ulbrich to our full-time staff! Hello! My name is Jessica Ulbrich, and I am so thankful to be joining the Bruceton Bulldog family! Everyone at Bruceton was incredibly welcoming to me during my time as a substitute so I was happy to accept a full time offer. A little about me- I have lived in Bruceton for about five years with my husband and our two children. I love to cook, go camping, go kayaking, and spend time with our extended family. I look forward to meeting new faces and reuniting with familiar ones around the school. Hopefully this will be a great year— lots of learning and fun memories for all!

We're excited to welcome Kayla Huggins as 1/2 time secretary in the front office. Hello my name is Kayla Huggins and I am excited to be a part of Bruceton School this year.  I was born and raised in Preston County. I currently reside in Kingwood with my daughter who’s a sophomore at Preston High. I worked at PHS for the last 4 years and currently I am the Lady Knights JV volleyball coach.  When I’m not at volleyball, you can find me spending time with my daughter and my family, enjoying a good book, being outside specifically mowing grass or organizing something! I am looking forward to being part of a new school!
