Setup for the County Science Fair that was scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th from 4:00-6:30 PM at the Kingwood Community Building. The County Science Fair will now take place on Thursday, January 11th at the Kingwood Community Building with student presentations taking place during the academic day on Thursday. Public viewing of projects will take place from 5-7 PM on Thursday with an awards ceremony beginning at 7 PM. The awards ceremony is planned to be live streamed on the Preston County Schools website.

Hello West Preston families! We have a few updates to share about upcoming events at West.
The Winter Band concert that was previously cancelled due to weather is rescheduled for tomorrow, January 9th at 6:30pm at West Preston.
The Social Studies school-level fair dates have been moved to allow more time for students to complete their projects. Fair setup will be on Tuesday, January 30th and the fair will take place on Wednesday, January 31st. More specific information will be sent closer to those dates.

In response to a notification by the district's food vendor (Gordon Food Service), referencing a product recall related to potential contamination with salmonella of several Quaker Oats products including Quaker Chewy Granola Bar Cookies and Cream that were distributed through the backpack food program that services multiple district schools during the month of December. Efforts are being made to remove the impacted product from any further distributions. However, please discard any recalled items that have been distributed prior to the recall notice.
