Students/children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Middle school students must be picked up promptly at the conclusion of the last game. Did you know Terra Alta has an active youth center? The Terra Alta Youth Center is offering an after school book club once a month to grades 6th through 8th starting this Thursday, February 20th and grades 3rd through 5th next Thursday, February 27th. Students must have a permission slip on file with the school to participate. Middle school permission slips must be turned in by the end of the day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th to participate on Thursday. Elementary permission slips must be turned in by Tuesday, February 25th. A copy of the permission slip is posted on our school website under menu, students/families, youth center permission 25. Parents of 8th grade students, please be aware that the Golden Horseshoe Essay Exam is Tuesday, February 25th. To be eligible to participate in the Golden Horseshoe competition students must take the test on the day given (make up tests do not qualify for competition). The Golden Horseshoe is a state required test for 8th grade students. We are already at mid-term of quarter 3. Please look for mid-term reports to come home on Friday this week. And, finally, middle school parents save the date for the following activities: middle school dance March 28th and the semi-formal dance will be May 16th and the 8th grade night will be May 9th.
