Reminder. Sign-ups and parent meeting for the Preston Co Squires Middle School Football Team will be held Monday June 16th 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Kingwood City Pool for any student entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade next school year. There will be free pizza and open concessions stand.
Preston County Schools will be offering FREE meals to students this summer in conjunction with the summer school schedule. You do not have to be participating in summer school to receive a free breakfast or lunch. These meals will be the pre-packaged meals that were tested at the end of the school year across the county and will also include a shelf-stable milk, choice of white or chocolate.

Reminder. There will be a FREE End of the Year Bash at the Reedsville Park tomorrow, June 7th from 6-8:30, followed by a movie in the park at 9. There will be food and drink provided, inflatables, balloon art, face painting and games. All free. Hope to see you there to celebrate.

Kennywood Park was closed due to storms. The bus is departing Kennywood now at 5:05 pm and will be back to TAEP in approximately two hours. The students did receive a rain check ticket for another day.

Squires Football
Attention parents and interested students:
The Preston County Squires Middle School Football Team will be hosting a parent meeting and pool party for all interested players at the Kingwood City Pool Monday June 16 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm. There will be free pizza provided. There will also be a concession stand open and available.
Summer football camp officially begins the following Tuesday June 17. Camp will run until Saturday June 28 finishing with a 7 vs 7 and lineman competition in Grafton.
Our second summer camp session will pick up Monday July 7 and run until July 19 ending with another 7 vs 7 and lineman competition in Morgantown.

The Kingwood Walmart is joining the dedicated core group of volunteers on truck this month. We'll all work together to feed Preston County this Summer!
Hoops to Heroes is a WVARNG initiative to promote healthy lifestyles through sport education and relationship building. Community involvement is a core value that strengthens the capabilities of the WVARNG. The development of this program demonstrates our commitment to service to the community.
We will provide an educational, challenging, and rewarding basketball program that will also educate the youth of our community on opportunities to continue to serve their great community after their sports careers are complete. We hope to have your involvement as we host this program and continue to support this great state and country through our commitment to others. Our goal is to host between 3 sessions throughout the summer at the Camp Dawson Multi-Purpose Building. The first session will begin on 7 June 2025 (time will be announced 2 weeks prior to the date of the camp.
Tentative Dates are 7 June 2025, 19 July 2025, and 2 August 2025. (subject to change) The program is for any student of Preston County between the age of 13-18 years of age. Participation is completely free and requires only a commitment to attend and a good altitude. See the QR code below and scan to submit for more information.

The Preston High School Band will be having an Orientation Meeting for the upcoming school year on Thursday, June 5th at 6:00pm in the PHS Theater. Parents and students will be given a copy of the tentative schedule for the school year, the Band Handbook, WVSSAC Physical Forms, new music, and will have the opportunity to enroll in the Remind App, which is used to communicate with parents and students about upcoming events. We are hoping to have even more students this year to debut our new band and color guard uniforms this coming Fall! Preston County Schools will be offering a Bus Driver Class beginning on July 28th . This position offers summers off, flexible hours, family medical, dental and vision insurance, and a retirement plan for full -time employment. – No High School diploma required. Good evening, Eagles. Middle school families, please make sure students return their field trip permission forms tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4th, so they may attend the community park walking field trip. We will not call home for permission for those students who fail to return their permission slips. They will have to remain at school.
Also, reminder that Thursday, June 5th, is students last day with a two hour early out. Students in attendance will bring home report cards; those absent will receive report cards in the mail.
Friday, June 6th, is the 8th grade incentive trip to Kennywood. The bus will depart TAEP at 9 am. Students must be dropped off prior to 9 am and promptly picked up upon the bus return at approximately 9 pm. The weather forecast is rain for Kennywood on Friday so students should be prepared and dress accordingly. Lunch will be provided, but students are welcome to bring money for souvenirs and additional snacks, as well as a water bottle.
