On Thursday, December 15, South Preston will be having a Polar Express Night! We will be here from 4:00 to 6:00 with activities, stories, crafts, snacks, hot chocolate, and, possibly, Santa! Forms will be sent home to students in PK to 6th grade!!! Hope to see you there!

On December 14, our 4th grade teachers, 5th grade teachers, and middle school science and social studies teachers will be here after school from 2:30 to 4:00. Materials, display boards, supplies, and teachers will be made available to you.

Middle School Progress reports will be coming home TONIGHT, Wednesday, December 7. This is just for students in grades 6 through 8.

There will be an informational meeting for all 7th grade girls who would like to tryout for junior princess, as well as 11th grade girls who would like to try-out for senior princess, and 11th grade boys who would like to be an escort or a king candidate for the 81st Buckwheat Festival. These meetings will take place on Monday, December 5th, Tuesday, December 6th and Wednesday December 7th, at 6:30 in the Mill Room of the KFVD Community Building. You must attend one of these meetings with a parent or guardian in order to try-out for junior princess, senior princess, escort or king candidate this year.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
South Preston is holding Santa’s Workshop on December 5th, 6th, and 7th. Every class will have the opportunity to visit and purchase items. Prices range from $2.00 to $20.00 and there is no tax. We are having a parent night on December 5th from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Parents/Guardians are not permitted to enter the building during the school day. Any donations of tape and gift bags would be greatly appreciated.

The Tunnelton Christmas Parade has been changed due to the threat of impending weather on Saturday. The parade will be held on Friday December 2nd at 5:30. If you are planning to walk with our group please meet us on the lower (town side) Old WV Road by Angela Moreland’s. This is the road closest to Kanetown Road. We will need to be there by 5:00. Our group will be at the beginning of the parade. Don’t forget that children need to have an adult walking with them. If you have any questions you can contact Brenda McGinnis.

Wednesday is Picture Retake Day!!! Life touch will be here in the morning to catch students who missed the first day or need pictures retaken. Also, we still need gift wrapping donations for Santa's Workshop!!!
