Maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, & all other students & staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Road conditions will be assessed in the morning and if circumstances warrant, the day could be shifted to a 3-hour delay or result in cancellation of school.

We have been in contact with a number of local clinics who have seen an uptick in strep, flu and a stomach virus. This is just a friendly reminder that as we work to keep our students and staff healthy this winter, please be reminded that if your child stays home or is picked up sick from school, he or she should not return until they are symptom free for 24 hours without medication. This includes fever (100.4+), cough, vomiting, and diarrhea. Remember you have 10 parent notes to use for the year in case of an absence. Be sure to turn either this or a doctor's slip in so we can mark your child excused.

April 22nd, originally part of Spring Break, is now an instructional day as we have to make up a snow day. Students and staff will be in schools that day. Also, due to missing so many days, February 7th is no longer a 2 hour early dismissal. It will be a full day. Any additional days will be made up after May 30th.

Here are our Math Field Day Participants and our students who will be moving on to regionals. In 8th grade: Hadley Moury, Janae Jackson, and Judah Cathell (2nd place in county). In 7th grade: Addison Plum, Aiden Busselman, and Payton Wagner. In 6th grade: Axel Snyder, Jessalyn Swisher, Joseph Nevera (5th place in county), and Vincent Apel (8th place in county). In 5th grade: Jaxson Warnick, Paxton Warnick (3rd place in county), and Jude Squires (1st place in county). And, in 4th grade: Reeva Weaver and Olivia King. Preston County Schools is currently doing an overhaul of its phone system. With the new system has come changes in employee extensions. Listed below are the new county office extensions. Schools will begin updating as their new systems are installed. If you reach an error on an old extension at a school, just place a "3" in front of the old number.

West Virginia ranks in the top five spots for childhood obesity in the nation. Day-of-Play encourages children to engage in physical activity and live a healthy lifestyle, whether at school, playing with friends, or spending time outdoors. Day-of-Play wants to lower the rate of childhood obesity in West Virginia. It is a free event happening in Morgantown, West Virginia on March 8th, 2025 at the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility.
