Students tentative last day of school has now shifted from May 30th, 2025 to June 2nd, 2025, which will now serve as today's make-up instructional day. Several additional KES students, and even one staff member, were recognized for reaching Beanstack goals and completing reading challenges on Friday! These individuals received brag tags and a school-wide Stag Wag for reading and logging minutes. Not only are they learning about new people, places, and things in the books they read; they are building fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills needed for continued academic success!

We have been in contact with a number of local clinics who have seen an uptick in strep, flu and a stomach virus. This is just a friendly reminder that as we work to keep our students and staff healthy this winter, please be reminded that if your child stays home or is picked up sick from school, he or she should not return until they are symptom free for 24 hours without medication. This includes fever (100.4+), cough, vomiting, and diarrhea. Remember you have 10 parent notes to use for the year in case of an absence. Be sure to turn either this or a doctor's slip in so we can mark your child excused.
