Congratulations to all our 5th grade students in Preston County and thank you to our PHS Track Team for their help and all the volunteers today.

We would like to thank Kingwood Parks and Rec for the six 3-day pool passes they donated! Students, grades 3-8, will have the opportunity to win these passes by earning tickets for demonstrating positive testing practices! They will have a new splash pad installed this summer. Notice that water slide!

Attention Families: KES Student Council is taking two charter busses to Hershey, PA on May 31st! There are 12 seats left to fill! The cost is $95 per person, and parents are encouraged to go with their child. Anyone interested needs to let Mrs. Zigray know by Friday, May 13th. You can reach her by email at dzigray@k12.wv.us. Once she has received your payment, Mrs. Zigray will provide a packet of information about the trip. Checks should be made to Kingwood Elementary Student Council.

3rd and 4th Graders: It is General Summative Assessment Week, and we need you IN SCHOOL and READY TO GO! That’s why we are holding an Attendance Brackett Challenge between our 3rd and 4th grade homerooms! The class with the highest percentage of students present THIS WEEK will earn a CATERED LUNCH from Preston High’s CTE Students during the final week of school!!

KES Families: Our phone lines and all other power has been restored. We are back in business!

KES Families: Our phone lines are down due to a power issue in the Kingwood area. The BOE Office has been notified.

Bus 64-15 Robin Riffle, in the Kingwood Area will not be running on Monday, 5/9/2022.


The obstacles have been removed and the Oregon Trail is open for travelers! Come hit the trail with us in the multipurpose room until 6 p.m. today. Bring a bag to collect your many treasures you will find along the trail.

KES would like to congratulate Miss Kylie's Gatorade Students of the Month for April! These students have shown outstanding leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship in Wellness.


Just a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, May 6 due to teacher meetings and Tuesday, May 11, is Election Day.
