Good evening, KES Families. We would like to take a moment to advise everyone that, at approximately 1:15 this afternoon, our building was placed on secure status until dismissal. This action came about after receiving notification from the Sheriff's Office that there was an upset citizen possibly headed in our direction from the Court House. During secure status, all staff and students are asked to come indoors, exterior doors remained locked, and all other business continues inside of the building as normal. As an extra precaution, law enforcement was stationed outside of the building throughout dismissal. We would like to commend staff and students for following directions, remaining calm, and doing an overall excellent job. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Mrs. Peaslee or Mrs. Brewer at 304-329-1034.
