Don't forget that KES will be rolling into a new school year with skating tonight at the Civic Center from 6-8PM! Gain FREE admission after visiting your teacher(s) at KES from 5-7PM! KES Families: We have made a change to our Back to School Splash tomorrow evening! Due to anticipated cooler weather conditions, we will be Back to School SKATING at the Civic Center from 6-8PM instead of swimming at the Kingwood Pool. Teachers and other organizations will still be available at KES from 5-7PM.
Fourth-graders had a WONDERFUL first day of school today! Mrs. Hayes, Mrs. Zigray, and Mrs. Uphold look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, August 26th!
Just a reminder for all parents and students of the vaccination requirements to enter school in the state of WV. These are for all students. Please contact your local health department if you have not done so already to get these scheduled to avoid any unnecessary absences as we begin this school year.

Good evening Preston County. Just a reminder that tomorrow begins our staggered start week. Tomorrow we welcome back our 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th grade students. Remember, school breakfast and lunch are free for all students, and we encourage all of you to take advantage and get fueled up for your day. See you tomorrow.
KES Families: In an effort to enhance the safety and security of our students as well as comply with county guidelines concerning the presentation of ID when signing out children, we will be changing our afternoon Parent Pickup procedures as well as eliminating Price Street Walkers. Effective next week, families will park at the funeral home or Fireman's Field, report to the sidewalk by the gym, present ID to a staff member, provide student name(s), and then follow the flow of traffic to retrieve students and exit campus. Those who have formerly been Price Street Walkers will also follow these procedures. See the attached map for traffic flow clarification. Those riding the bus from CPMS/PHS and meeting parents on the Fireman's Field or other designated location will still be able to do so as they have done in the past. Thank you in advance for helping to keep our students safe!

Breakfast and Lunch Menus are available on the app for August and below. Just a reminder that all Preston County Students eat for FREE. Students that bring a cold lunch and want to purchase a milk, the cost is $.35. For adults in the building, visitors, volunteers, and/or staff, the prices are: Adult Breakfast: $3.50 and Adult Lunch: $4.50. September's menus will be up the week of the 26th, so parents can plan accordingly. Prior to the September 30th Professional Development Day, surveys will go out for parents and students to fill out as it relates to child nutrition and meal service, and those sustains and suggestions will be discussed among the child nutrition director, cafeteria managers and cooks during their PD day. Girls' Squires Soccer Grades 6 to 8:
The coach of the newly formed unified middle school girls' soccer program will be having an informational and parents meeting this Wednesday, August 14th beginning at 6:30 PM at the grass soccer fields in Kingwood. A short practice will follow. Please bring sports physical forms along with soccer gear. If interested in playing this season, please plan to attend.
Squires Football Reminder: Grades6-8, sign-ups for the Preston County Middle School Football Team will be held this evening, Monday August 12 , at 6:30 pm at Preston High School near the grass football field. Those interested will need a completed physical form for the current school year. If you are interested and have further questions please contact Coach Herrington at 304-276-5746.
