KES Families: Due to soccer and football games at PHS on Thursday, September 26th, we will need to utilize Central Preston Middle School’s parking lot for our Parent Pick-Up. Please report to the two drop-off lanes between 12:00 and 12:25. A KES staff member will take your child’s name and he/she will be bussed and delivered to you as they were Monday through Wednesday. Please do not exit Central Preston’s lot until you are directed to do so. Again, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we keep things up and running—and safe—during this busy time!

October's menus are now available for parents and guardians to see their student's school's meal offerings next month. Tomorrow will be our final new item of the month, with most schools having Buffalo Chicken Pizza, while some, due to distribution issues, could be serving BBQ Chicken Pizza (also new to PCS). Following tomorrow's lunch, in the coming days, you will see a link to a survey. This survey will be used to help determine future menus and improve our feeding program and service to our students. If there are ever any questions, comments, or concerns, those can be directed to Justin Hough, Director of Child Nutrition at jhough@k12.wv.us or at 304-329-0580 x234.

Dear Families, Due to lack of parking accessibility and increased traffic around and on our KES campus during the week of the Buckwheat Festival, we will be altering our procedures for Parent Pick-up on Monday, September 23 through Thursday, September 26. We will be bussing KES students to Preston High School to meet families in the center of the main parking lot. Here’s how it’ll work: 1. Families will arrive at the PHS parking lot anytime from 2:00PM to 2:30PM. 2. Here, families will be directed to a specific space. 3. A KES staff member will come to your car and take the name(s) of the student(s) to be picked up. 4. The list will be sent to KES. Students will load shuttle busses in the order they are called. They will then be bussed to PHS. 5. Busses will arrive at PHS. Staff members will help unload and escort students to their family vehicle. 6. Vehicles will be dismissed. If you typically pick up a CPMS student at KES, you will retrieve your middle schooler at Central Preston once you leave PHS with your elementary student. Students who ride a bus from CPMS to KES and then walk home will still be able to follow their regular dismissal procedure.
