Congratulations to our new Bulldog Mascot Skylar Rush! Alternates are Zane Martin, Trevor Sigley, and Linkin Sleppy! We started with 13 Bulldog candidates and all had to undergo a selection process involving a panel interview with teachers and administrators and a cheer-off in costume in front of the middle school student body. We look forward to having these students represent Bruceton School! #SchoolOfChampions #GoBulldogs

Thanks to the families that brought their children out for the tethered balloon reward. The organizers, crew, and balloon pilots were sad the weather did not cooperate. There was a delay on setting up due to weather rolling through the region, but then wind tests and clearer skies showed we were good to go. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas and winds and rain became too strong to continue tethering. Stay tuned though… organizers are looking for ways to make this up to the students that earned this reward and Bruceton School. Thank you to University Toyota, Balloons Over Morgantown, and the balloon crews and pilots for caring about our beautiful school community. 💗

Mrs. Moody's class completed a STEM activity this morning as an extension to their novel, Charlotte's Web. Using a foam cup and floss, the students worked as a team to create a web that would withstand the elements and trap a "fly" (bean).

https://forms.office.com/r/8TkWN0RHUv On Saturday, Oct. 1st if you find your child(ren) has no internet... Any student, K-12, who does not have the Online Information Form filled out by Saturday will have all internet access cut off. Any student who has a NO on their AUP section of that form will also be shut off. This is county policy that is required by state policy for federal funding. These accounts will be turned back on as the student information form is filled out online. The link to the form is found at prestonboe.com in the scrolling picture section entitled, "Parent Homework". If you do not have internet at your home you may call the school secretary and give the information over the phone to them.

Mrs. Millers Pre-K class tried Buckwheat cakes and sausage today. Most of the students loved them and wanted more. This week they have been learning about our Preston County heritage and how to process buckwheat and they got to watch how they were made.
