Each day we celebrate our homerooms that have perfect attendance! Classrooms have perfect attendance flags to show their accomplishment on a daily basis. Even with the illnesses and weather, we still have quite a few homerooms getting perfect attendance each day!

Ms. Holly and Ms. Tasha’s class is learning how to care for pets and how much responsibility they take. They are working in the vet clinic, the dog washing station, and building safe homes for their pets.

Applications are available now. We will be featuring different ones as deadlines approach. First up is the Governor's School for the Arts for Current 10th Grade Students. This application is due on February 28th.

Social Studies Fair Set-up:
Set-Up is still this evening at the KVFD Community Building from 5-7. If you have a conflict with a basketball game or event, your project can either be dropped off earlier than 5, or make arrangements for another school representative to bring it up for you.

This is a Bruceton Bus Announcement for Bus 122 for Tuesday the 18th. Tomorrow, Bus 122, Jason Cramer will not be running in the Bruceton Area.

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18th. All staff will report on a normal schedule and Faculty Senate meetings originally scheduled for today are to be convened before the arrival of students. In addition, setup for the county social studies fair will take place tomorrow from 5-7 PM at the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department.


The calendar is updated with today's inclement weather day. The tentative last day for students is now Tuesday, June 3rd. As always, this is subject to change with any additional days used. Our updated school calendar is available on the PCS Website.


Preston County Schools will be closed for tomorrow, Monday, February 17th. Maintenance, mechanics, and 240-day custodians report on a regular schedule. All other extended-day staff report on a 2-hour delay. All other students and staff do not report. Scheduled data meetings will be rescheduled and all scheduled extra-curricular a ctivities are cancelled and will be rescheduled.


This is a reminder that if we still have a regular, 2 Hour Early Out tomorrow, that all cooks and cook/custodians are to report to the BOE Board Room at 1:30 for food handlers certification/recertification. If anything changes, a message will go out. This is also open to subs.

Miss Harvey's careers class got a chance to check out military careers today. Thomas Conner from the Army National Guard stopped by to talk to students about what he does in the Guard. He also gave a couple kids lessons in the proper way to do army push-ups - lol!
