Bruceton School

Bus 66-15, Kyle Lee's bus, will be running the 'B' route tomorrow, Friday, May 29th in the afternoon only. Students who normally ride Kyle Lee's bus to the Pisgah and Old Rt. 73 areas will ride bus 80-17, Dawn Stemple's bus, and arrive approximately 40 minutes late. Students who normally ride Kyle Lee's bus to Kings and Queens Daycare and Krys View Apartments will ride Stephanie Hamilton's bus and will arrive there at their regular time. If you wish to have your child be a parent pickup tomorrow, please send a note to their teacher.

Bruceton Bus (Friday, 5/29) - Bus 66-15, Kyle Lee, will be using the B Run Schedule tomorrow afternoon only with students living along old route 73 and Pisgah, who will be delivered 30-40 minutes late on bus 80-17.

The sun is shining, the grass is mowed and drying, and Knights Stadium is ready to welcome our graduates and their families and friends this evening. Tonight's Preston High School Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 will take place outdoors at Knights Stadium beginning at 7:30 PM. Graduating senior students need to assemble in the Gym by 6:30 PM. Handicap parking is available behind the school between the school and the stadium by permit only. Tonight's ceremony will be broadcast by Mountain Digital at youtube.com/cable7, Live on Prodigi CH10, and Breezline on Channel 7 on their regular package, or channel 9001 on Breezeline Stream TV. There will be a parent meeting tomorrow, Thursday, May 21st at 6:30 in the cafeteria for parents of those students interested in playing middle school girls basketball next year. This meeting will discuss summer flex practices.

MS Boys Squires Soccer - There will be a meeting for any middle schooler interested in playing for the  Boys Squires Soccer Team next season on the youth soccer field by the Buckwheat Express building on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00P.

4th grade is expected to arrive back at Bruceton School from their field trip at approximately 5:00pm.

Today was an enjoyable day of competition for our 5th graders who participated in the Brittany Foley Thomas Memorial 5th Grade Track & Field Challenge. Bruceton took home first in both the girls and boys team standings, and the event saw some previous event records shattered. Congrats to all of our winners and participants, continued thanks for the continued support of this event, and thanks to Paul Martin and all of his hard-working volunteers and staff to make today such a success for our students. When asked, many 5th graders allude to this being a highlight of their 5th grade year.

At this time, phone and internet service are down at all district schools and the central office. This issue is suspected to be at WVNet and has been reported to technology officials with the WV Department of Education and our internet provider (Prodigi). We do not yet have an estimated time for restoration of service but are working with the WVDE to expedite this as soon as possible. Updates will be provided once service has been restored.
