Mrs. Kristin and Ms. Moss' homerooms both earned a Bruce the Bulldog statue for this week for having perfect attendance and no tardies the week before Thanksgiving break. Both classes have been making sure Bruce looks both stylish and regal! We have some homerooms on track to earn a Bruce statue this week too. We'll find out tomorrow. #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere

Mrs. Moody's class was like kids in a candy store today. Their classroom's brand-new desks arrived! The kids were adamant that they wanted to unbox and set them up themselves. We were able to purchase them through our excess levy funds. The classroom desks that Mrs. Moody inherited were from the 1970s and well past their lifespan. Thank you to the voters of Preston County for supporting our school and kiddos! #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere

Today, Miss T's class learned about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and the perseverance of Tony Sarg- the man who invented the giant balloons that float during the parade. Everyone sketched designs and stuffed paper plates to bring their 'floats' to life. The kids all shared things they were grateful for and came up with ways they plan to help their families out this Thanksgiving break to show their gratitude. #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere

We are proud to announce our Bulldog mascot for the 2023-2024 school year: Darrin Uphold! Darrin is a 7th grade student and is actively involved in the Bulldog Band. He will be serving as the mascot throughout the school year at ball games, community events, and more. Our backup Bulldog is Carter Bolyard. The selection process involved an initial application, panel interview with a committee of school staff, and a cheer-off in front of the whole middle school. Congratulations to Darrin and Carter and thank you to all our Bulldog mascot candidates. Everyone represented our school and community well! #SchoolOfChampions #GoodThingsHappenHere
