Tonight's Academic Boosters meeting will be held as originally scheduled at 6pm in the cafeteria. All are welcome to attend.

This announcment is to advise on the status of extra curricular activities today. The scheduled JV boys' basketball games at Central Preston will proceed tonight as scheduled. The scheduled home varsity boys' basektball game with Hampshire has been rescheduled to tomorrow night s a result of Hampshire being out of school today. The PHS Booster Club meeting tonight has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 22nd; the status of the JV Girls' Basketball game scheduled at Petersburg has not yet been communcated from Petersburg's AD. Finally, all other middle & high school teams may practice tonight. The status of practice should be communicated by each individual coach or by the school.

Preston County Schools will be closed for today, Tuesday, February 13th & today will be a “Brain Freeze” Day. Students do not report, while maintenance, mechanics, & custodians report on a regular schedule, while all other staff reports on a 2-hour delay. Advisements for bus drivers & transportation staff will be communicated by Mr. Plum. Day-to-day substitute personnel should not to report unless they are directed to do so. All schools will be open from 10 to 12 for students who require assistance. Resources on Brain Freeze can be found on the county and all school websites. Finally, the status on all afterschool activities will be announced later today.

Bruceton Academic Boosters will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10th in the cafeteria at 6pm. All are welcome to attend.

Girls softball flex practices will begin next Monday, February 19th at 6pm in the gym. Flex practices next Tuesday through Friday immediately after school through 4pm. Students will be able to ride the high school bus those days. All athletes must have a completed sports physical on file from this school year or have a completed physical form to turn into the coach the first night of flex practice. Flex practices are not mandatory, but attendance is encouraged.

We have an amazing group of volunteers and such a wonderful community! The Treat Train made its way through the building today to give staff a little pick-me-up. Your child was given an information packet recently on PikMyKid. Parents, please make sure to register using the unique QR code your child brought home. Until we completely switch over to PikMyKid for dismissal, you will still need to send a note to your child's teacher to change dismissal methods from bus to parent pick-up or vice versa. Once we have everyone registered, we'll be able to full make the switch over to PikMyKid and we'll keep you informed throughout the whole process.

Bruceton School will soon be implementing a new service that will make parent pick-up , bus rider, and dismissal changes easier for parents. It's called PikMyKid and it gives parents more control over their child's dismissal methods. Students received and information packet recently and if your child did not bring home a PikMyKid packet, please ask them about it. The packet will contain information on the features of PikMyKid, downloading the parent app, and more.
