Please view the schedule below if your student is interested. All practices will take place from 5-7pm. They will need to bring water, knee pads, and clean shoes. Parent/Guardians, It is that time of year again when the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activity Commission (WVSSAC) requires an athletic participation form be completed by parents and physicians for any middle or high school student participating in athletics or band. To help you meet this requirement, Preston County Schools have partnered with Mon Health to provide this service. Parents/Guardians of 7th & 12th graders: Your child will be required to have immunizations completed before returning to school this fall. There is not a grace period and they will not be allowed to enter school without these immunizations. For seniors they need proof of a TDAP and their second Meningitis/MCV4 vaccine that must be given after the age of 16. For 7th graders they need proof of a TDAP, and their first Meningitis/MCV4 vaccine. You can visit our webpage to view the vaccine requirement chart if you have questions.

The PCS Board of Education recognized this year's Preston County Golden Horseshoe winners on Tuesday, May 28th for their outstanding work: Jacob Smith-Tatham, Brianna Watkinson, & Kaiden Rankin received certificates and congratulations from the BOE (not pictured - Sarah Dew).
On Tuesday,May 28th teacher of the year Sarah Rose (West Preston) & coach of the year Seegee Bachtel (Aurora) were recognized by the BOE.

Preston County Schools and the WV Dept of Education are proud to announce PCS Golden Horseshoe Winners for 2024: Brianna Watkinson (CPMS), Kaiden Rankin (SPS), Sarah Dew (SPS), and Jacob Smith-Tatham (WPS). Since 1931, students have been honored as knights of the Golden Horseshoe by the WV Dept of Education, having demonstrated exceptional knowledge of WV history on the state administered exam. This year, 227 winners will join the ranks of WV citizens who have won this prestigious award.
Tomorrow, Friday, May 17th, Mon Power advised there will be a planned power outage approximately 2 pm to 2:15 pm. The outage will impact the Kingwood, West Preston, & South Preston areas. In the event of inclement weather the outage will take place on Monday, May 20th instead.
Join us at West Preston on Wednesday, May 15th from 5-7pm for our end of year Summer Kick-Off event! The Crazed Lemon, hot dog truck, and Kona Ice will all be there! We will have bounce houses, outdoor water games (weather dependent), and FVDE will be hosting a tie dye station! There will also be a station for guardians to give us some feedback needed to set our school goals for next year! We hope to see you there!
