Preston High School’s Counseling Department has arranged a Financial Aid Workshop to complete the FAFSA. The workshop is scheduled for Monday, November 15, 2021, in the Preston High School Library from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Students and parents; please note that BOTH the student and the parent/legal guardian filling out the FAFSA MUST be in attendance in order for us to be able to help them complete their FAFSA.
Things to bring or do before the FAFSA Completion Night…
· 2020 tax information for you and your parent/legal guardian
· Social security number for you and your parent/legal guardian
· Student driver’s license number ( if you have a driver’s license)
· Records of untaxed income for students and parents
· Record of all assets of parents and students
*Student Laptop (so you can easily connect to the PHS wifi)
· Apply for a Federal Student Aid ID (FSAID) for both you and one parent/legal guardian. The FSAID will be used to sign your application for financial aid. You and your parent/legal guardian will need to obtain separate FSA IDs.
To apply go to fsaid.ed.gov at least three days before the FAFSA Completion Night. DO NOT DELAY! If you do not obtain an FAFSA ID you will not be able to complete your financial aid application.
