ELEMENTARY PUMPKIN RUN

Back by popular demand is the Elementary Pumpkin Run. This event is for all Preston County Elementary School students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. The “Pumpkin Run” will take place on the community soccer fields near Preston High and Central Preston Middle School on Tuesday, October 25th. It will be a service project of the Central Preston Middle School National Junior Honor Society.
PK and Kindergarten will run approximately 100 meters. Students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade will run approximately ½ mile. Students in 4th and 5th grade will race on a one mile course. Students are asked to wear t-shirts in the following colors to distinguish what school they are from: Aurora – red, Bruceton – maroon, Fellowsville – white, Kingwood / Central Preston – gray, Rowlesburg – orange, South Preston – yellow / gold, Terra Alta – East Preston – navy blue, West Preston – royal blue.

4:15 p.m. - PK and Kindergarten Boys and Girls (100 meters)
4:30 p.m. - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade Boys and Girls (1/2 mile)
4:45 p.m. - 4th and 5th Grade Boys and Girls (1 mile)
Awards: In the Elementary Pumpkin Run, the top five male and female athletes in each division will get their choice of a pumpkin to take home and decorate for the fall holidays. Additional pumpkins may be awarded if there are a large number of pre-registered athletes
