This week, ALL Preston County Students will be bringing home a bag of 8-10 apples, courtesy of Kilmer's Farm Market, WV Harvest and the WV Dept. of Ag. as part of their 2024 Apple-achia Giveaway. This morning, 14 pallets loaded with WV Grown Apples were delivered to Central Preston to be distributed out to all schools this week. PCS appreciates the generous donation this holiday season from Kilmer's and WV Harvest, and we hope that an apple a day over the holidays keeps the doctor away for an enjoyable holiday break for all. Special thanks to all of our staff who have volunteered their time and efforts to get these apples distributed to our schools and students.

Apparel orders are in and will be sent home with students today.

On Wednesday, December 4th, while being presented with a program from WVU Medicine Healthy Minds, students at Aurora were met with an unexpected, but very welcomed visitor, as Angie Zofchak, Director of Attendance and Student Services, brought Sir Chester to interact and give our students at Aurora some snuggles. Not sure who loved the visit more, but Sir Chester and the Aurora Bears were smiling from ear to floppy ear that day. Preston County schools is enjoying the offerings of its newest staff member and mascot, and thanks to PHS for letting Sir Chester spread his love and care to other students.

Students, we are having a door decorating contest! The staff at Aurora School has been hard at work creating some awesome door designs. To vote, just bring in your spare change and drop it in the container by the door. Voting starts Monday and all proceeds will go to the Preston County Animal Shelter. Visitors can vote for their favorite door on December 12 during the Holiday Concert.

Due to the two-hour delay, the trip to WVU is canceled.
