Also academically, and a first in Preston County according to Mr. Brad Martin, Superintendent of Preston County Schools, Aries Jennings, a senior at PHS, was recognized and spotlighted by the WVDE for her graduating from the competitive Mon Health and Education Alliance Internship Program back in July, where she shadowed professionals in various medical departments and even observed a C-section, which she volunteered her own time to do. Aries is currently working towards her certification, which she'll have upon graduation from PHS, as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Lastly, Preston High School had a number of all-state recognitions from fall athletics, with the cross country team being recognized at an earlier meeting.
